WTTC Reports Bahamas Leading in All Areas of Growth Including GDP, Employment and Visitor Exports
All signs are pointing to 2015 being a landmark year for tourism in The Bahamas, exceeding 2012, which was previously seen as a step change year for Bahamas tourism.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS, April 3, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Islands Of The Bahamas are leading in all aspects of tourism growth in 2015, with gains expected, to lead the Caribbean, Americas and World averages, according to latest report released by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). This reaffirms the recent announcement by The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, of statistics showing double digit increases in air arrivals and hotel performance for the month of January. — Hon. The WTTC Report predicting growth in 2015 shows The Bahamas leading in Travel and Tourism’s Contribution to GDP at 6.7%, more than double the Americas’ average; with 5% growth in Employment, almost double the Americas’ average; 7.8% growth in Visitor Exports, more than 7 times the Americas’ average; 6.2% and 7.1% growth in leisure and business spending respectively, both more than double the Americas’ average.
